ARTIST BIO

Growing up in a musical family, KELLY COBERLY has always had a real passion for music. While attending Bluegrass Festivals as a child with her father, who was in a Bluegrass band, Kelly always knew she wanted to pursue a singing career. Born in Harrisonburg, Virginia, and growing up in the mountains of West Virginia, Kelly says "my first job in the music business was at age 7 when I helped my grandparents in their recording studio in Broadway, Virginia. I thought shrink-wrapping cassette tapes was the coolest thing in the world!" Kelly began singing in the school choir at the age of 9, and she has now turned her childhood dream into a reality, traveling and singing for people all around the world.

Kelly's career began in 1999, originally as a Country/Bluegrass Artist. In 2001, Kelly wrote her very first song, titled "Ya Wanna Bet", which was released to international radio and reached #2 on the Country Music charts in Australia. Shortly after, she wrote "What Did I Do" and "Precious Child", which were also released to international radio. In 2005 & 2006, Kelly was a demo singer and background vocalist for a recording studio in Pigeon Forge, TN. Throughout her 15 years as a Country/Bluegrass Artist, Kelly received eighteen (18) awards from the Tennessee Country Music Association (TCMA) and the North America Country Music Association, International (NACMAI), including Female Vocalist of the Year, Female Entertainer of the Year, Songwriter of the Year, and Album of the Year, which she received 5 years in a row. Kelly also recorded five (5) albums, which included "Ya Wanna Bet", "Classics By Request", "A Country Gospel Christmas", "Bluegrass Express", and "Remember West Virginia Coal", which was a tribute to her hometown of Upshur County, West Virginia, where the 2006 Sago Mine Tragedy occurred.

In early 2014, Kelly's singing career advanced to an even greater level when God called her into the Gospel Music Ministry. She is now a Nashville Christian Recording Artist, who travels throughout the United States, spreading the Gospel to others thru music. Since being called into ministry, Kelly has recorded three (3) Gospel albums titled, "Because He Loved Me", "I Believe", and her latest album,"One Day At A Time", was just released in May 2020. Kelly has released eleven (11) singles to Christian radio, including "Because He Loved Me", "Midnight Cry", "My Home", "I Believe", "Mary Did You Know", "One Day At A Time", "Middle Man", "Empty Me, Lord", "Far Side Banks of Jordan", "I Serve A Savior", and “I Saw Him Walk Out of the Sky”, all of which reached the "Top 5" on the Gospel music charts, with several reaching #1. In 2016, Kelly received the Female Vocalist of the Year Award at the Crimson Music Awards, bringing her total to nineteen (19) awards throughout her career.

Kelly has become one of the most powerful & anointed vocalists in Gospel music. Her rich vocal tone, along with the natural cry in her voice has brought the house down and moved people to tears and praise time and time again. Kelly's music is a true blessing, and the Lord has used her and her ministry in incredible ways to help lead others to Christ.

Kelly says "I am extremely blessed to be able to do what I love, and to be able to share God's word thru music. If I can be a blessing to someone and lead them closer to the Lord, then my mission has been accomplished. I want everyone to experience the joy of having the Lord in their life." Kelly also says, "There is no greater joy in the world than to see someone come to the altar and be saved! I want to continue doing this for the rest of my life!"
